An American student talking on her cell phone on the train from Rome’s Termini station to the airport.
-In Italy the food is so bad and unhealthy! I mean, I didn’t even see a carrot the whole month I was here. I just really want a salad… And I am craving McDonald’s.

What a bunch of MORONS!! there are McDonald’s everywhere in Rome! And all you have to do to have a salad in Rome is ORDER ONE! I was there for an entire month and lost about 12-15 pounds because of all the walking and the food I ate. it is not unhealthy if you know what to pick on the menu.
I hate dumb American tourists like this! This is exactly the reason I avoided any and all restuarants with too many Americans being served. The idiotic stuff that was said made my blood boil!
Great website here and I am glad I found it.

You are joking right. McDonald’s is probably the worst thing you can possibly eat.

The first McDonald’s in all of Europe was the one in Rome near the foot of the Spanish steps, and it is still one of the best places to eat in that area! They have a huge salad selection, along with many other unique offerings, all in a very attractive environment.
(And the rest rooms are excellent too!)
